About Us

After moving to the United States, Monica began working in veterinary medicine with dogs and cats. As she traveled back and forth to Brazil, she encountered a challenge familiar to many pet parents: finding a place where she truly felt comfortable leaving her own pets.

Her animals were accustomed to ranch life, with plenty of room to run, play, and enjoy the outdoors. Traditional boarding, especially within the limited environment of an animal hospital, didn’t offer the kind of experience she wanted for them.

That experience inspired an idea: What if boarding could be different?

Monica began traveling throughout the United States, visiting boarding facilities and gathering ideas for a place that could offer pets more—more space, more comfort, and the added reassurance of veterinary care nearby.

In 2006, that vision became Country Inn Pet Resort & Animal Hospital.

Set on eight spacious acres in Davie, Country Inn was personally designed by Monica to give pets room to play, explore, relax, and enjoy their stay. Inspired by the freedom her own animals experienced on the ranch, she thoughtfully designed the facility to bring a little of that same experience to the pets entrusted to her care.
